Mostly using own software, converting a photo or image to a page of mosaics, which may be small rectangles, polygons or stars (stars being an optional polygon shape). Sometimes I overlay this with edge-detecrion software output or a drawing to emphasise certain features. As yet I have not found how to ecactly emulate a handmade mosaic using software, I think that is going to be a major task, to do that.
